NETFLIX GRANTED ORDER TO AIR DOCCIE ‘BEAUTY AND THE BESTER’ AS DUO LOSE CASE!
The urgent application of convicted rapist and murderer Thabo Bester and his former partner, Nandipha Magudumana, to stop Netflix from flighting their documentary, Beauty and the Bester, has been struck off the roll and dismissed with costs.
The judge presiding the case at Gauteng High Court in Pretoria , Judge Sulet Poterill, said both applications were not valid and ordered that they were not urgent as they knew the documentary was due to be aired on Netflix on 12 September 2025.
The doccie will be aired today before lunch time.
In fact, reports emanating on Thursday that the duo were paid for their role in a Netflix documentary, and Magudumana was trying to stop it from being released.
The pair, who were arrested in Tanzania in April 2023 after fleeing South Africa, are facing multiple charges in the Free State High Court in Bloemfontein relating to Besterβs May 2022 escape from prison.
The once celebrated medical doctor, Magudumana, finds herself in a scandal that has turned her life upside down.
