TSHWANE MAYOR HONOURS APPOINTMENT WITH GA-RANKUWA!

As it was first reported by Ga-Rankuwa Mail, Tshwane Executive Mayor Nasiphi Moya has honoured her appointment with Ga-Rankuwa community leaders on Thursday.

The reactionary meeting is as a result of a Ga-Rankuwa shutdown protest on Monday, 18 August 2025, where the community showed unity in protest against the deteriorating state of the township.

In Moya’s absence, the memorandum was handed over to one of the City members of the mayoral council, with some items highlighting poor service delivery, sewage spillage all over, poor road infrastructure, high rate of crime, and many other complaints raised.

Moya admitted: “This afternoon, we are in Ga-Rankuwa to meet with community representatives following a shutdown protest held by residents,” she said.

“Last week, we received a memorandum listing service delivery issues affecting the area. We are back today, with City officials, to provide feedback about the City’s plans to address service delivery challenges.”

Tomorrow, Friday, the township leaders will be meeting with COGTA MEC, Jacob Mamabolo, to ventilate about their frustrations, hoping they will get answers.
