SANGOMA TO APPEAR IN GA-RANKUWA COURT FOR THE MUDER OF MAKHUBELA!
A Mozambican sangoma, suspected of having played a role in the kidnapping and murder of Gontse Makhubela, will today, 11 August, appear before the Ga-Rankuwa Magistrates Court on those charges including violation and defiling a corpse, as well as contravening the Immigration Act.
The deceased’s uncle, Isaac Makhubela, says the family is relieved that the case is progressing.
Two suspects have already appeared before the Brits Magistrates’ Court after they were found in possession of the deceased’s cellphone.
This is after North West police cracked an almost 2-year-old case by arresting three suspects linked to her 2023 disappearance and murder.
Makhubela’s decomposing body was discovered in Elandsrand, near Brits.
Meanwhile, in a separate case, reports have emanated that another Mozambican national will also today, Monday, 11 August, appear before the same court after being found in possession of human body parts, including a vigina, heart, and tongue in Winterveldt.
The discovery was made on Friday in a backroom he rented on a local property.
Police have urged anyone with missing relatives to come forward to assist in the investigation.
