GA-RANKUWA BRACES FOR CRUCIAL FOOTBALL WEEKEND!

The Ga-Rankuwa Local Football Association (GALFA) is preparing for a crucial weekend of football, with the 2026 GRFA Development League, Men’s Promotion League, Women’s Promotion League and Under-19 Development League fixtures scheduled for Saturday, 10 October, and Sunday, 11 October 2026.
With matches spread across several venues, teams will have an important opportunity to compete, strengthen their campaigns and demonstrate their quality in their respective divisions.

DEVELOPMENT LEAGUE TAKES CENTRE STAGE ON SATURDAY!
Saturday’s Development League fixtures will feature eight matches across Streams A and B, with all games scheduled to kick off at 10am.
In Stream A, Ga-Rankuwa Shining Stars FC will face Ga-Rankuwa Sheppards FC at Omega Sports Ground, while Flying Hawks FC take on Tiger Boys FC at RDP Sports Ground.
GS Sporting Development will host Shooting Stars FC at The Heights, while Ga-Rankuwa Rising Stars FC meet Ga-Rankuwa Leeds United FC at Tsunami Entrance Ground.
Stream B will see XI Experience FC face La’ Hamandat FC at Zone 14 Sports Ground. Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University FC take on Ga-Rankuwa Campus FC at Maropeng Sports Ground, while Masakeng Highlanders FC meet Kota Sports Academy at Highlanders Sports Ground. All Stars FC will face Batau FC at Masakeng Sports Ground.
The spread of fixtures across different grounds highlights the scale of grassroots football activity in the area.
WOMEN’S PROMOTIONAL MATCHES ADD TO DAY’S PROGRAMME
The Women’s Promotion League will also feature two matches at Masakeng Sports Ground.
Batau FC will face Masakeng Highlanders FC at 14:30 in an outstanding fixture, before Ga-Rankuwa Western FC meet Masakeng Highlanders FC at 16:00.
Both matches will provide teams with an opportunity to compete for valuable results as the women’s competition continues.
SUNDAY BRINGS MEN’S PROMOTION AND U-19 ACTION!
Sunday’s programme will feature matches at Masakeng Sports Ground, SMU Sports Complex Main Stadium and TUT Ga-Rankuwa Campus.
At Masakeng Sports Ground, Ga-Rankuwa Rising Stars FC will face Tiger Boys FC in an Under-19 encounter at 13:00, following the Men’s Promotion fixture between La’ Hamandat FC and GS Sporting Development at 11:00.
At SMU Sports Complex Main Stadium, Ga-Rankuwa Survivors FC will meet Ga-Rankuwa Western FC in the Under-19 division at 10:00. Flying Hawks FC will face Masakeng Highlanders FC in an outstanding Men’s Promotion fixture at 11:30.
Shooting Stars FC will take on Ga-Rankuwa Shining Stars FC at 13:10, followed by Ga-Rankuwa Survivors FC against Ga-Rankuwa Leeds United FC at 14:50. Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University FC will then meet Ga-Rankuwa Western FC at 16:30.
TUT Ga-Rankuwa Campus will host three matches, beginning with Ga-Rankuwa Sheppards FC against Batau FC in the Under-19 division at 10:00. Ga-Rankuwa Ladies Stars FC will face Batau FC in the Women’s Promotion League at 11:30, followed by XI Experience FC against Ga-Rankuwa Campus FC at 12:50. XI Experience FC will return to the field at 14:10 to face All Stars FC in the Under-19 division before taking on Batau FC in the Men’s Promotion League at 15:40.
TEAM URGED TO COMPLY WITH LEAGUE REQUIREMENTS!
The GRFA has reminded participating teams that player-card inspections are compulsory and that the “no card, no play” rule applies to all league matches.
Teams are also expected to meet their match-fee obligations, provide at least one match ball and ensure that home grounds are properly prepared.
The association has warned that failure to comply with league requirements, including failure to honour fixtures without a valid reason, may result in disciplinary action.
With development, women’s, men’s and Under-19 football all featuring over the two days, the weekend promises a busy programme for clubs, players, officials and supporters across Ga-Rankuwa.
