HAWKS KILL THREE SUSPECTS IN SHOOTOUT IN MAMELODI!
The Hawks have mowed down three suspects in a bloody shootout at Stoffelpark Ext 15 in Mamelodi East, Pretoria.
The Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation (DPCI), commonly known as the Hawks, were acting on a tip-off about a gang allegedly in possession of illegal firearms, and planning on an assortment of robberies.
When officers moved in, the suspects reportedly opened fire.
It was a multi-disciplinary intel driven operation comprising Hawks TOMS, Gauteng Highway Patrol, Airwing and Local Police in Mamelodi East was conducted where the police visited the house.
Upon arrival at the premises, a shootout ensued between the police and the suspects.
Three suspects were fatally wounded by the police and one suspect fled the scene.
The police recovered one AR rifle and two pistols.
