RACE TO HAVE ATTERIDGEVILLE’S BUS RAPID TRANSIT READY BY DECEMBER!

The City of Tshwane’s Transport Department has announced plans to conduct a follow-up assessment on the progress of the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) line development toward the end of November, leading into December.

Ward 58 Councillor Conride Ngoveni expressed optimism about the economic and developmental opportunities the project will bring to his community.

He also extended his appreciation to the Member of the Mayoral Committee (MMC) for Roads and Transport, Tlangi Mogale, who recently visited the site to monitor progress.

According to Ngoveni, the MMC’s oversight visit formed part of the city’s commitment to ensuring that the new BRT line linking the Central Business District (CBD) and Atteridgeville remains on schedule and meets quality standards.

He added that the project is not only aimed at improving public transport access for residents but also at stimulating economic activity and connectivity across the capital.

“This development will make it easier for residents to travel between the CBD and Atteridgeville while contributing to the city’s broader economic growth and job creation,” Ngoveni noted.

Mogale confirmed that her office earlier met with their IRPTN(Intergrated Rapid Public Transport Netwkork) division to reflect on several issues that they must focus on “if we are to improve on our expenditure, performance at this critical division.”
