ORATILWE MOLOISANE IS A BEACON OF HOPE FOR GA-RANKUWA YOUTH!
At just 21 years old, Oratilwe Moloisane has become a beacon of hope for young football enthusiasts in Ga-Rankuwa after breaking into the professional football ranks in the previous Betway Premiership season.
His journey from dusty township fields of Maropeng in Zone 16 to the big stage of Siwelele FC in Bloemfontein is not only a personal triumph, but also a story that has ignited fresh dreams in the hearts of his peers under the Ga-Rankuwa Local Football Association (GALFA).
Moloisane, known for his blistering pace and fearless style of play in central midfield, signed with now-defunct SuperSport United last year before being adopted by Siwelele FC — a move that has shifted how many youngsters in Ga-Rankuwa view the possibilities of sport.
For years, he trained on makeshift pitches across Ga-Rankuwa, often with below-par boots, with little more than determination driving him.
Now, his success proves that talent, coupled with discipline, can take a township boy to the professional stage.

“Seeing Oratilwe on TV wearing that professional jersey gives us hope,” said a fellow young player from Zone 1. “It shows that it’s possible for us too. He’s one of us, and he’s showing us the way.”
And indeed, Moloisane, speaking to Ga-Rankuwa before Siwelele FC’s Betway Premiership clash against Polokwane City, he admitted that his story should be drafted into the history books.
“I will fight to put Ga-Rankuwa on the map. It’s a township with a lot of talent, but only a few would be seen and recognised by top PSL teams. I am one of lucky few, and my story should inspire others. You see, I am working extremely hard to ensure that I win my first full cap at Siwelele,” he told Ga-Rankuwa Mail.
Moloisane has come off the bench six times at SuperSport and yet to kick a ball for Siwelele, but says he has all the belief in coach Lehlohonolo Seema whom he says pays attention to him.
Community coaches recall Moloisane as a dedicated teenager who rarely missed training and often inspired his teammates with his work ethic.

His story has now become a rallying point for local football academies and grassroots development programmes, which believe his breakthrough can attract more support and investment for youth sport in Ga-Rankuwa.
For Moloisane, though, the journey has only begun: “Playing professionally is a dream come true, but I know it comes with responsibility,” he said ahead of an afternoon training session.
“I want to make my family, my community, and especially the young players in Ga-Rankuwa proud. If I can do it, they can too.”
As he continues to sharpen his skills and fight for a permanent place in the starting lineup, one thing is certain – Oratilwe Moloisane has already won a much bigger victory.
He has given hope to a township hungry for role models, proving that Ga-Rankuwa’s next generation of stars can dream big and achieve even bigger.
