WATCH: MOYA IN RACE TO MEET GA-RANKUWA RESIDENTS’ SERVICE DELIVERY DEADLINE!
Following a robust meeting with the community leaders of Ga-Rankuwa who raised a number of service delivery failures by the City of Tshwane, Executive Mayor Nasiphi Moya, has responded.
She sat down on Thursday with them to understand the frustrations raised in 2016 and 2020, but yet they’re still not addressed, and Moya says she has taken it upon her shoulders to address them.
The people of Ga-Rankuwa showed a united unit on 18 August 2025 when they took part in a peaceful march that drew attention of all corners and facets of the township to vent its frustrations.
Among issues raised were sewarage spillage, dark streets at night, high rate of crime, wrongful billing system by the City’s estimates, and now they want them addressed.
Moya told Tshwane Talk TV that they will undertake a site meeting from Monday to see for themselves and see what decisive action the City will take to address their failures.
“It was a robust discussions where no one was buying face… we will arrange with different departments to see how we can meet the 27 August 2025 deadline set,” Moya told Tshwane Talk TV.
