CELLPHONE THIEVES ARRESTED AFTER ROBBERY!
Three suspects are expected to appear in court following a swift police operation that led to their arrest after a robbery incident in Pretoria North.
According to authorities, the incident occurred on Friday, 17 April, when a woman was on her way to work.
She was allegedly approached by three suspects who confronted and overpowered her before snatching her iPhone and fleeing the scene in a blue Hyundai Tucson that reportedly had no registration plates.
Police attached to the local crime prevention unit were alerted shortly after the robbery and wasted no time in mobilising a search operation.
Acting on gathered information, officers tracked the suspects to Koos de la Rey Street, near an abandoned building commonly referred to as “Matotis.”
A vehicle matching the description provided was intercepted, leading to the arrest of three suspects.
A fourth suspect managed to evade arrest and remains at large, with police continuing their search.
The arrested trio is expected to appear before the Magistrate’s Court soon, where they will face charges of common robbery.
Investigations are ongoing.
