NEW GA-RANKUWA TEAM FROM ZONE 4 SECURE SPOT IN REGIONAL LEAGUE!

Ga-Rankuwa Guardians FC, new kasi club, will compete in the Safa Tshwane Regional Men’s League (MRL) this season, joining Northam Wolvarines FC, Titans, and Juventus FC as representatives of the Ga-Rankuwa Local Football Association (GALFA).

The Guardians take over the slot left vacant by Dikgabo FC, who sold their status earlier this year. Their inclusion ensures Ga-Rankuwa maintains four teams in the regional league for the 2025/26 campaign.

Guardians, who bought another team’s status, comes after steady performances in local football, and the club now faces the challenge of adapting to a higher level of competition.

“We are ready for this opportunity and want to make our community proud. The goal is to compete strongly and give our players exposure,” Guardians’ representative told the Ga-Rankuwa Mail.

The arrival of Guardians adds extra spice to the MRL, with four sides from the same township set to clash during the season.

Local derbies between Guardians, Wolvarines, Titans, and Juventus are expected to draw big crowds and boost township football’s profile.

For Ga-Rankuwa, the strong representation is seen as a statement of its footballing strength and depth of talent.

The new MRL season kicks off later in the year, with Guardians eager to make their mark in their debut campaign.

The Ga-Rankuwa Mail will give you all the information about Guardians who are not yet ready to be in the public spot.

However, Ga-Rankuwa Mail can confirm that it’s a team owned by a consortium of local businessmen from Zone 4.
