R40K WORTH OF DRUGS SEIZED IN PRETORIA NORTH AND DEALER ARRESTED!

The Tshwane Metro Police Department (TMPD) have a bolt step this week by nabbing a suspected drug dealer in Pretoria North.

The arrest of the suspected drug dealer was during a drunk driving operation in the Akasia area on 17 January 2026.

Members stopped a silver Polo with one occupant who is identified as a Nigerian.

A search of the vehicle revealed suspected illegal narcotic substances in various locations, including the glove compartment, under the seat, and in plain sight in the steering wheel’s storage compartment.

The substances seized included was a 2 transparent bags of dagga, 7 rolled-up dagga joints, 1 CAT block, 1 Nyaope block and 8 foreign illegal medicine pills.

The estimated value of the confiscated substances is R400 000.

“The suspect was immediately arrested for dealing in and possession of suspected illegal narcotic substances and detained at a local police station” said the Metro Police in a statement.
