BREAKING: BAFANA BAFANA QUALIFY FOR 2026 FIFA WORLD CUP!

Proudly South African!

Kudos to the South African national football team, Bafana Bafana, after having endured all the pressure and drama to redeem themselves and qualify for the 2026 Fifa World Cup in the USA, Canada and Mexico.

Their 3-0 victory against Rwanda was enough to secure their ticket to the world’s biggest stage of football, after the Nigeria result, who beat then Group C log leaders, Benin 4-0 in another matvh, worked in the South Africans’ favour.

Bafana completed the group top of the table with 18 points, ahead of the rest of their competitors.

The tacks seem to be against Bafana after Fifa docked them three points for fielding an ineligible player, Teboho Mokoena against Lesotho in June, but they recovered to silence naysayers.

“USA here we come!” Shouted SA Minister of Sport Gayton McKenzie.

Bafana coach Hugo Broos was more calmer and attributed all the success to his players for having had nerves of steel, and fought like warriors.

“The past two matches were very tough, but we made ut,” he said.

In reality, no one made South Africa a favour, everyone, Nigeria included, had their own ambitions, and it worked in Bafana’s favour.

The name Hugo Broos will for a long time be engraved in South Africans’ hearts as father of the nation, and the boys were up to the task, redeeming ourselves after a terrible administrative blunder.
But hey, re Bafana Kaofela.
