BREAKING NEWS: GA-RANKUWA ROYAL EAGLES FC WITHDRAWS ITS FOOTBALL STATUS!

Ga-Rankuwa Royal Eagles FC has terminated its status from the Ga-Rankuwa Local Football Association (GALFA), citing a lack of support from the community and players’ parents alike.

The statement comes hot on the heels of the club’s historic Under-17 victory at the Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Cup.

In a statement signed by Oreagile Maboe, founder and coach of the club, the club announced today, 22 December 2025 (Monday), the discontinuation of its operations with immediate effect.

Despite many calling for Maboe to reconsider his intention to abandon ship, but the talented and experienced youth development coach seems drained and seeking a peaceful way out.

“It is what it is,” he wrote on the club’s official Facebook page.

He said the decision to come to such a decision was because of financial constraints, as well as no support while he’s doing a great work in developing raw talent.

“Although this might be a difficult transition for all personnel involved, the club fully believes it has developed players capable of competing and adapting in different fields and levels of football, as well as life. The mark left by the club of being one that has been competitive throughout its existence will most certainly be remembered,” Maboe said in a statement.

Despite the sad ending of the relationship, Maboe said he is looking forward to working together to elevate the development of football in the community “of our lovely township, Ga-Rankuwa”.
