EMPLOYRES NABBED FOR HIRING ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS!

Law enforcement authorities have arrested two employers for allegedly hiring undocumented foreign nationals during a multidisciplinary crackdown operation conducted in the north of Tshwane on Wednesday.

The two employers were arrested and charged after they were found employing undocumented foreign nationals at their respective business premises.

During the operation, one employer was found with 13 undocumented foreign nationals working at her business premises, while another employer was found to have employed five undocumented foreign nationals. The two cases resulted in combined fines amounting to R180,000.

The operation also resulted in the arrest of three suspects for possession of drugs, while another suspect was apprehended after being found in possession of suspected stolen copper cables.

The crackdown was led by the Visible Policing Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Theunis Smit, who assembled a multidisciplinary team comprising members of the Soshanguve K9 Unit, Pretoria North Crime Prevention, the Department of Home Affairs, Tshwane Metro Police Department (TMPD), and the Community Policing Forum (CPF).

The team conducted operations across the policing precinct and surrounding areas as part of ongoing efforts to combat crime and ensure compliance with the law.

Authorities said the operation was aimed at sending a clear message that law enforcement agencies remain committed to protecting communities, enforcing the law and maintaining the authority of the state.

The multidisciplinary approach also demonstrates the importance of cooperation between law enforcement agencies, government departments and community structures in addressing crime and other challenges affecting communities.

The authorities have warned that similar operations will continue, with a focus on tackling criminal activities and ensuring that businesses and individuals comply with the law.
