ILLEGAL FOREIGNERS ARRESTED, SHOPS CLOSED IN POLICE RAID.

The Tshwane Metro Police Department in conjunction with the City of Tshwane relevant stakeholders, conducted successful by-law enforcement operations in Sunnyside, Mamelodi, Mabopane, Ga-Rankuwa, and Pretoria Central on Wednesday, 21 January 2026.

During the operations, various businesses were inspected for compliance, leading to the confiscation of numerous hazardous products and the closure of a food outlet in Sunnyside due to health hazards.

In Mabopane, the TMPD regional policing members arrested eight undocumented immigrants in contravention of the Immigration Act for being in the country unlawfully.

These are ongoing strategic operations by the department to curb lawlessness.

It is crucial for all of us to adhere to the law to maintain a safe and healthy environment in the City of Tshwane.
