ONE, TWO, THREE – PIRATES TEAR CHIEFS APART IN THREE-GOAL SOWETO DERBY THRILLER!

In an embarrassment of the weekend, Kaizer Chiefs suffered a shocking 3-0 loss to rampant Orlando Pirates before a capacity crowd at FNB Stadium on Saturday.

Evidence Makgopa, Oswin Appolis and Tshepang Moremi hammered the three goals to jump to 41 points on the log table.

The Buccaneers were a class apart in Saturday’s Soweto Derby as they dominated the Betway Premiership clash.

The emphatic victory margin was the Buccaneers’ joint highest in the league this season, and also the biggest in a Premiership derby since the 2001/02 season.

The Buccaneers were the quickest off the blocks, piling immense pressure on their hosts early on, when Relebohile Mofokeng forced an early corner with an attempt from range.

Chiefs’ next league clash is against Richards Bay on 3 March while Pirates look to Polokwane City a day later.
