VOICE NOTES INSIDE DEADLY FAMILY HOSTAGE DRAMA HINT WHY MASHEGO WENT MAD!
Thapelo Mashego, the police constable who committed a gruesome murder of his 18-year-old nephew and committing suicide, is believed to have been a man in serious stress.
It has been reported that he has been battling with drug addiction but was working on ways and sought help to quit the bad habit.
In a voice note shared by Mamelodi News following the 16-hour hostage drama at Bufferzone, Mamelodi, Tshwane, the 32-year-old raises a number of issues.
It is unclear whether the things he talks about in the voice note could be the reason he held them hostage the entire day.
Among allegations are that the child that he supports and raised was actually not his, but that of his brother.
He also alleged that the family will excluded him despite having worked hard to refurbish the home, and is still paying loans.
And, according to the voice note, his nephew and mother knew all those things but kept them away from him “suggesting I’m a drug addict”.
