WATCH: TEBOGO G MASHEGO ARRESTED!

Though details are still sketchy, but controversial South African music artist, Tebogo G Mashego, has been arrested on Wednesday, Haritage Day following allegations of being in possession of an illegal gun.

The Amapiano artist, best known for his hit song “Biri Marung” recently returned from being stranded in Nigeria and was reportedly arrested in Pretoria, though details are still emerging.

However, the Department of Justice, Crime Prevention and Security, has clarified that Mashego has “not been arrested”.

“Information received indicates that he displayed an abnormal behaviour and allegedly acted violently, assaulting people without apparent cause,” the departmentsaid un a short statement on Wednesday night.

“Laudium SAPS members were summoned to the scene and, in the interest of public safety, had to forcefully remove him from the community as he was visibly resisting.”

Mashego has been throwing allegations around since his drama in Nigeria, accusing people of being witches, drug dealers, accusing well known musicians of explicit stuff, and worst of it, insulted even those who helped him.

He’s thrown the social media space into a frenzy, threatening to kill people, and inviting the police to arrest him because he claims to be a drug dealer himself, as well as driving stolen cars.

His fans have been feeling sorry for him after he kost his cool and ma y are worried that this could be the end of his promising career.

What prompted police, according to those closer to him, was firing shots in his neighborhood in Mabopane.
